What exactly does Bluegrass Final Matters do and why do clients use the services?
Trust Bluegrass Final Matters to assist you with:
End-of-life planning
Making transitions that come with aging
Executing your estate
We provide expert advice and direction, so that when you are facing the unexpected or the inevitable, your affairs are in order. We also assist individuals and families as they navigate residential changes, begin transferring assets and heirlooms to loved ones, and as they enroll in various programs like Medicare and Social Security—helping you with life’s transitions that are part of aging. When a client or loved one passes, we are there to help with closing the home, probating the estate, liquidating and distributing assets as directed. We are a comprehensive concierge service, bringing you expertise and a network of professionals to ensure your assets and loved ones are protected, transitions occur smoothly, and your intentions are fulfilled.
How much time does it take?
Because each person has unique needs, the time invested in pre-planning, making transitions, and closing estates can widely vary. Our consultations and services are solutions and outcomes-based—the time needed to implement these can vary from a few hours of consultation to a meaningful client-advisor relationship that lasts for years.
What does it cost?
Our consultations provide clear solutions and tangible outcomes, therefore costs are billed by specific consultations, services, and packages. For more information about costs specific to your needs, visit our list of services.
Do you serve clients outside of the Bluegrass?
Yes. We are boots-on-the-ground experts serving those outside of the Bluegrass who have a loved one in Central Kentucky. For our out-of-state clients, we offer all services remotely.
What is a death doula?
The role of a doula is to provide support, expertise and compassion, while serving others. Like a birth doula, a death doula is your advocate, champion, and liaison, taking steps to ensure you are prepared for something everyone will face. There are many sources of information available about the role of a death doula. Some doulas serve your spiritual needs, some assist with your medical care and end-of-life transitions, and others help you navigate what happens to your financial and material assets, both before and after your passing.
What is a financial death doula?
A financial death doula acts on behalf of the client, within a confidential client-doula relationship, for specific and sole purposes of benefiting the client. A financial death doula has a fiduciary duty while advising clients about comprehensive pre-planning for the inevitable, making life transitions that come with aging, and navigating closure of final affairs. Impeccable ethics are required of your financial death doula, as should be with years of proven experience providing solutions and results while serving clients with similar net wealth.
